BEHIND THE BRAND

Hogan’s Alley was a prominent Afro-Canadian neighborhood in Vancouver, vibrant with life and culture from different nationalities and ethnicities. This beautiful integration of cultures led to the creation of vibrant music, art, fashion and the rise of prominent figures who pushed the boundaries of the integrated social movement in the ’50s and ’60s.

To create room for expansion and growth, the city demolished Hogan’s Alley, bringing an end to the once vibrant and budding culture. Hogan’s Alley, like pre-colonial African history, is synonymous with stories untold. Hogan’s Alley Clothing is a movement that gives these stories a voice.

Hogan’s Alley Clothing is a fusion of African Culture with Western-style. One can imagine that our approach to fashion may have been realized had the neighborhood been given an opportunity to blossom.

In a world increasingly divided around cultural lines, Hogan’s Alley Clothing seeks to build bridges across gaps using fashion and media. When you wear Hogan’s Alley Apparel, you’re not just wearing clothes, you’re wearing a story.
